Ryan McGuirk from the R&R SC won the 3rd RIBSA Under 16 ranking event of the season on the 3rd of March in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow. In the final Ryan beat Jack Newman from Fermoy in a high quality final.
In the superb final between Ryan mc Guirk and Jack Newman,The first frame went Ryans way 55-8 in the 2nd frame it was a much closer game with a lot of safety from both players jack was ahead but young Ryan stepped up a gear and he won the frame 56-43 in frame 3 it was nip and tuck all the way as Jack fought hard to get a game on the score board but Ryan had other ideas and after a very close safety game it was to be Ryans day and win the frame and match on scoreline of 48-42.

In the semi Finals Ryan beat Noel Gleeson 3-2 and Jack beat Leone Crowley 3-0
Well done to all the players and thanks to marion and staff in ivy rooms and to Declan Quinn who was TD on the day and Referee.
Smith Wins Plate Event
The Plate Final was won by Aaron Smith who beat Ronan Mc Guirk in the final. Both played great snooker 1st frame went to the black ball and it was Aaron who took on the long pot to win 62-55 2nd frame was good with Aaron on form to win the match 49-11 well done to both players
