Dylan Rees won the 2018 Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association Intermediate Snooker Championships in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on the 12th of May.
The semi final and final of the Championship was played tonight and in the semi final Aaron Holland played Dylan Rees and the defending Champion Brendan Thomas played Alan O Connor in the best of 5 frames.
Both matches were excellent with Dylan beating Aaron 3-0 and Alan beating Brendan 3-2.
Semi Final Referees
The Referee in charge of the semi final was Pat Mooney and Declan Quinn.
The Final
In the final Dylan Rees and Alan O Connor played a high quality match in the best of 7 frames final for the title which was refereed by Shane Mason. In the end it was Dylan Rees who won the title 4 frames to 1 to take his first National Title.

The Championship high break was 70 by Tom O Driscoll
Presentations
RIBSA Chairman Jim Leacy presented all the trophies to the finalist and congratulated everyone on a fine performance on the day.

Finals Weekend
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association Championships Final Weekend will produce 15 National Champions in various genders and age groups in both Snooker and Billiards from Friday 11th of May to Sunday 13th of May in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow.
