The 2018 RIBSA National Under 21 Snooker Championship final will be between Aaron Hill from Crucible SC and Stephen Bateman from the Kilkenny Shed after both players played fantastic snooker on the day in the Ivy Rooms on Sunday the 22nd of April.
The final will be played during RIBSA finals weekend in the Ivy Rooms SC from 11th – 13th of May. The standard was very high with a total of three centuries made on the day.
In the Q Finals Ronan Whyte beating Ross Bulman. Stephen Bateman beat Leone Crowley 3-0. Aaron Hill beat Aaron Holland 3-0 and Noel Landers beat Mark Gleeson 3-0.
- Semi Final 1: Noel Landers v Aaron Hill – 1-3
Aaron won the two opening frames with breaks of 51 and 105 but Landers fought back to win third before Hill won it and qualified for three National Finals next month.
- Semi Final 2: Ronan Whyte v Stephen Bateman – 2-3
Ronan won the opening frame but Bateman levelled, Ronan then went 2-1 up only for Bateman to make a 53 to force it into a decider. In the decider it was the Kilkenny man who won it on the final Pink to reach the National final in May.

The final promises to be an exciting match with two fantastic junior players and we are guaranteed a new name on the famous cup. Aaron Hill hold the high Break with 107 in the event just piping Ross Bulman’s 106 and Aaron Hill’s 105 earlier in the day.
