The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Ladies Association held another successful Ladies Developmental day on the 11th of March (Mothers Day) in Q’s Snooker Club in Clondaklin in Dublin with our RIBSA National Coach PJ Nolan.
Jim Leacy RIBSA Chairman and Ger Murray Vice Chairman attended today to support the day and said ‘’ RIBSA hope more ladies will start to play snooker in their local clubs and then hopefully compete to qualify for the International IBSF, EBSA, HIBSF & WLSA events over the next few years through our RIBSA ranking events.
All ladies of any standard or age were invited to attend the day with PJ to learn the skills of the game and about Cueing, Cue Ball Control and Safety game. More RIBSA Ladies Developmental days will be held next season.
- New range of RIBSA Ladies Training Manuals Launched
RIBSA have now produced a new range of training booklets and a manual by PJ Nolan to help the girls improve their games. It features; The Approach, The Bridge, The Grip, The Stance, The Cue Action and Rest Play. These booklets will be available at all RIBSA Ladies events throughout the season.
The day began with the players playing some practice routines and PJ gave some tips and advice to the players on how to improve.
National Ladies Champion Michelle Sherwin said the girls really enjoyed the day with PJ and they now have a good training plan to improve their games. The ladies thanked RIBSA for holding the day and thanked Q’s Snooker Club in Dublin for hosting the day.
