Jim Leacy Chairman of the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association launched the RIBSA Junior Elite Squad on Saturday the 16th of September in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
Ross Bulman from Youghal, Aaron Hill from Cork, Noel Gleeson from Nenagh, Ryan McGuirk from Cavan and Patrick Daly from Killarney will receive a snooker scholarship to play in all RIBSA events free of charge for the 2017-2018 season. RIBSA National Coach PJ Nolan will be in charge of the squad.
Jim Leacy said ” he wished the five players good luck this season and RIBSA will do everything to help them develop their games with the help from PJ. Each player received a homework diary to fill in for training and the players will be guided at each event ”
Ger Murray was on hand to present each player with a RIBSA Elite Squad badge for their waistcoats which will be worn at all RIBSA events this season.
