The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association (RIBSA) have just announced they will hold their third junior snooker developmental day of the season on Sunday the 2nd of July in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow from 11am to 3pm.
Any junior player in Ireland are invited to attend the day with our Irish National Coach PJ Nolan and his team of RIBSA Coaches to learn some skills of the game. The players will learn about the Stance, Grip, Cue Action, Cue Ball Control and Basic Potting Skills.
All current RIBSA Qualified Coaches are also invited to attend the day and the schedule of events is from 10.30am – 11am the players will sign in and warm up.
The day will begin with the players playing some snooker routines with PJ and the RIBSA coaches giving some tips and advice to the players. The players will then be shown how to control the cue ball and then try some more practice routines.
A re-spotted black tournament will also be held. The action will begin at 11am and finish at 3pm. RIBSA would like to ask all the clubs to encourage as many of their young members to attend this promotion day and help grow the game in Ireland. The cost to each player will be €5.00.
