RIBSA have confirmed the Irish junior players for the 2017 (IBSF) International Billiards & Snooker Federation Under 18 and Under 21 World Snooker Junior Championships in China from the 6th – 17th of July in Beijing China.
Noel Landers, Darragh Cusack and Ronan Whyte will compete in the World Under 18’s and World 21’s and Shane Bates, Aarron Holland will play in the World U-21’s Championships.
Details of the IBSF Championship in China
On behalf of the IBSF Board of Directors and the Chinese Billiards & Snooker Association (CBSA), I have the pleasure in inviting you to send your players to take part in the IBSF World under 18 and under 21 Snooker Championships (Women and Men) You should enter your player names into the IBSF web site using the password that was previously emailed to you.
The IBSF World U18 & U21 Men & Women Snooker Championships 7th to 16th July 2017 – Beijing in China.
Dates : Under 18 Championships: 8th to 11th July Under 21 Championships: 12th to 16th July.
You can send up to 3 players in each competition and your players should be less than 18 or 21 years old by the 31st December 2016. Please note when uploading your player pictures that it is not less than 300 dpi.
An entry fee of US$ 70.00 per player must be paid to the IBSF on the first day of the championship. Under 18 players can also enter the under 21 Championships if they wish. All players must present their passport to the Tournament Office before the start of the matches.
Closing date for entries will be 15th June 2017. We are looking forward to welcome you in Beijing, China.

Dress code: Please advise your players that the dress code will be strictly adhered to. All players must wear a waistcoat whilst playing. • Evening dress or dark-suit together with waist-coat shall be worn in all sessions of the matches. Long-sleeve shirts buttoned at the wrist, waistcoats and bow-ties, shall be worn for all matches, save when the venue conditions are hot and humid, and, in which case, certain relaxation to dresscode requirements may be decided thereupon by the Championship Committee.
• Players will be allowed to wear a sponsor’s logo on the waistcoat with a maximum size of 100 mm x 40 mm or 80 mm in diameter. The Host NSA will inform players if their logos may be worn during any televised stages of the Championship and that players wear them belonging to the Host NSA’s sponsor(s) at no cost to the players.
• The Host NSA will decide the appropriate dress-code for any official functions.
• Failure to comply with the prescribed dress-code may result in the forfeiture of the match by the players in default. Visas: Visas are required by many countries.
