Aaron Hill from the Crucible SC will contest the 2017 RIBSA National U-18 Snooker Championship final against Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS after both players played outstanding snooker in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Sunday the 23rd of April. It promised to be an exciting day with the National Under 18 Champion receiving a place at the World under 18’s Championships in China and the players put on a great display of snooker.
In the semi finals Ross Bulman beat Darragh Cusack 3 frames to nil while Noel Landers lost to Aaron Hill in a thriller 3-2 after Noel making 59 only to see Hill clear 44 to win. Ross Bulman had several high breaks of 53, 78, 86 and the current high break of 95 in the Championship.

Our National Coach PJ Nolan was the Tournament Director and all the matches were the best of 5 frames. The final will be played during RIBSA finals weekend on the 5th or 6th or 7th of May.

Format for 2016/2017
The entry fee is €10.00. Registration Fee U-21 €10.00 and U-16’s €5.00 – Proof of age required.
Three RIBSA ranking events plus National Championship will be held with each winner receiving a ticket to the World U-18 Championships.
Please note : The closing date for all RIBSA Under Age Tournaments will be 1pm on the Friday before the tournament. Waistcoats are required for all events however National waistcoats are not permitted.
Play will begin at 10.30am and the Draw will be on the RIBSA Web Site @ 4pm
