Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS won the third RIBSA / IBSF U-21 Snooker Ranking event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Sunday the 2nd of April. This season the winner of each of the three Under 21 Events plus the National U-21 Champion will receive a place at the World under 21 Championship in China.
In the final Ross beat his clubmate Adam Fitzgerald in a superb final with Adam having breaks of 76, 57 and 52 but it with was Ross who came out a 3-2 winner with a 65 clearance from 64 behind to win the decider. In the semi finals Adam Fitzgerald beat Aaron Hill 3-2 on the final black and Mark Gleeson lost 0-3 to Ross Bulman. Big shock in the event was 12 year old Noel Gleeson beating Noel Landers 3 frames to nil in the first round.
Shane Bates has won event 1, Stephen Bateman won event 2 and now Ross has won event 3 to qualify for China but all attention now switches to the National U-21 Championship for the final spot on the 22nd of April in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow.

Format for 2016/2017
The entry fee is €10.00. Registration Fee U-21 €10.00 and U-16’s €5.00 – Proof of age required.
Three RIBSA ranking events plus National Championship will be held with each winner receiving a ticket to the World U-21 Championships.
Please note : The closing date for all RIBSA Under Age Tournaments will be 1pm on the Friday before the tournament. Waistcoats are required for all events however National waistcoats are not permitted.
Play will begin at 10am and the Draw will be on the RIBSA Web Site @ 3pm
