Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS won the 5th RIBSA U-16 Snooker Ranking Tournament of the season making a superb 114 break along the way in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Sunday the 19th of March. In the final Ross beat last weeks European U-18 semi finalist Aaron Hill 3 frames to nil in the final.
In the semi finals Ross beat John Joyce from Classic SC Dublin 3-2 and Aaron Hill beat Aaron Goldrick 3-1 in the other semi final. RIBSA would like to thank the Ivy Rooms SC for hosting the event, Referee Pat Mooney and to the Tournament Director James Bateman for making the event a big success.
All the focused now goes to the National U-16 Championship on the 26th of March in the Ivy Rooms SC Carlow.
This season the top three players plus the U-16 National Champion will qualify for the Home Internationals in Leeds in August 2017. The top six players at the end of the season will qualify for the 2017 Celtic Challenge at the end of June.
Ross Bulman has now won event 1, 3 and 5 while Aaron Hill has won event 2 and 4.
Format for 2016/2017
The entry fee is €10.00. Registration Fee U-21 €10.00 and U-16’s €5.00 – Proof of age required.
Five RIBSA U-16 ranking events will be held plus an U-16 National Championship this season to qualify our players for the International Team.
Please note : The closing date for all RIBSA Under Age Tournaments will be 1pm on the Friday before the tournament. Waistcoats are required for all events however National waistcoats are not permitted.
Play will begin at 10.30am and the Draw will be on the RIBSA Web Site @ 3pm
