Rep of Ireland Under 21 players are all performing well in the 2017 EBSA Under 21 Snooker Championships in the Hilton Hotel Nicosia in Cyprus. Charlie Sweeney has won 3 out of 3, Stephen Bateman won 2 out of 2, Noel Landers 2 out of 3 and Adam Fitzgerald 1 out of 2 matches.
On day 2 Charlie beat Mehrab Soltanali from Cyprus 3-1, Stephen beat Teodor Chomovski from Bulgaria 3-1, Noel lost to Andres Petrov from Estonia 1-3 and to Balázs Kiss from Hungary 2-3 and Adam Fitzgerald lost to Alexander Ursenbacher 0-3.
The four players are now fully focused on their last group matches tomorrow, ahead of the knock outs rounds tomorrow night and our National Coach PJ Nolan said he was delighted with effort of the players so far in the Championships.
