Aaron Hill won the 4th RIBSA U-16 Snooker Ranking Tournament of the season in the Ivy Rooms S.C. in Carlow on Saturday the 4th of February. In the final he beat Ross Bulman 3 frames to 0 in an excellent final which was refereed by Shane Mason.
Earlier in the day all the top seeds reached the semi finals with No.1 seed Ross Bulman and No.2 seed Aaron Hill had wins over Cian Murtagh and Colum Morley. No.3 seed Aaron Goldrick and No.4 seed Ryan McGuirk beat Aaron Smith and Jack Sheridan.
The High breaks on the day were Ryan McGuirk 41, 42. Aaron Hill 41, 45 and Ross Bulman won the prize with a 51.

RIBSA National Coach PJ Nolan was the Tournament Director and all the matches were the best of 5 frames including the final and again he was so impressed with the talent on show. RIBSA would like to thank the Ivy Rooms and all the players in making it a great day of snooker.
This season the top four players will qualify for the Home Internationals in Leeds in August 2017. The top six players at the end of the season will qualify for the 2017 Celtic Challenge at the end of June.
U-16 Review Ross Bulman had won event 1, Aaron Hill won event 2 and Ross Bulman won event 3.
Format for 2016/2017
The entry fee is €10.00. Registration Fee U-21 €10.00 and U-16’s €5.00 – Proof of age required.
Five RIBSA U-16 ranking events will be held plus an U-16 National Championship this season to qualify our players for the International Team.
Please note : The closing date for all RIBSA Under Age Tournaments will be 1pm on the Friday before the tournament. Waistcoats are required for all events however National waistcoats are not permitted.
Play will begin at 10.30am and the Draw will be on the RIBSA Web Site @ 3pm
