Day 3 of the 2016 IBSF World Snooker Championships in the Al-Sadd Club – Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha saw only the Republic of Ireland master players in action and they achieved 1 win from 3 matches.
First in action in the morning session was Dylan Rees and despite playing good he was beaten by Esa Kaikumaa from Finland 2 frames to 3. Next in was Tom O Driscoll and the Waterford man won 3-1 against Ali Bassiri from Iran with a top break of 59 in the match.
Finally in action was Shane Gorman and the Irishman started off with a great 62 break in frame 1 but he was beaten 1-3 by Jón Ingi Ægisson from Iceland. Michael Judge, Jason Devaney, TJ Dowling, Brendan Thomas and Paula Judge all had the day off yesterday.
The Irish Coach PJ Nolan said the players practiced hard yesterday and they are fully focused for Day three which starts at 10am with Paula Judge, Jason Devaney, Brendan Thomas all in action in the morning session.
