The Republic of Ireland players achieved 5 wins from 7 matches on Day 2 of the 2016 IBSF World Snooker Championships in the Al-Sadd Club – Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.
In action today were our three senior players and Michael Judge started off with a win 4-2 against UAE, Jason Devaney played excellent but lost 3-4 to Malaysia and TJ Dowling made it two out of two with a win 4-2 against Qatar.
In the Masters Brendan Thomas won again 3-0 against New Zealand, Shane Gorman also won again 3-0 against USA. Tom O Driscoll won his opening match 3-0 against Iceland and Dylan Rees plays his first match tomorrow.
In the ladies Paula Judge lost her first match in the championship to Hong Kong 1 frame to 3 in a excellent quality match.
The Irish Coach PJ Nolan was again delighted with the player’s performance and the action starts again at 10am.
