Stephen Bateman from the Kilkenny Shed won the second RIBSA U-21 Snooker Ranking event of the season today in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Sunday the 2nd of October.
In the final Stephen beat Andrew Doherty from The Willows 3 frames to 2 in a great final. Stephen now receives a place at the European under 21 Championship in Cyprus in March 2017.
Andrew Doherty won the high break prize with a stunning 125 break in the first round.
In the semi finals Andrew Doherty beat Shane Bates 3-0 while Stephen Bateman beat Charlie Sweeney 3 frames to 2. RIBSA would like to thank the Ivy Rooms SC for hosting the event and to Conor Doyle for Refereeing on the Day. This was a great event and RIBSA wish to see you all again at event 3 !!!

Adam Fitzgerald from Youghal CYMS had won Event 1 and he attend training with PJ today. He will join Stephen at Event 3 for further training to prepare for the EBSA Championship in March

Format for 2016/2017
The entry fee is €10.00. Registration Fee U-21 €10.00 and U-16’s €5.00 – Proof of age required.
Three RIBSA ranking events will be held before December with each winner receiving a ticket to the European U-21 Championships. They will be joined by the highest ranked player on the U-21 rankings.
Please note : The closing date for all RIBSA Under Age Tournaments will be 1pm on the Friday before the tournament. Waistcoats are required for all events however National waistcoats are not permitted.
Play will begin at 10.30am and the Draw will be on the RIBSA Web Site @ 3pm on the 30th of September.
