Republic of Ireland Junior Charlie Sweeney lost his QFinal match against Number 1 seed Yun Fung Tam from Hong Kong 4 frames to 2 in the Q-Finals of the World IBSF U-18 Snooker Championship here in Mol in Belgium today.
Charlie started off superbly winning the opening frame and he made a 114 break in the second to lead 2-0 but back came his Asian opponent to win the next two. Frame 5 was decided on the green and just when he looked like Charlie was going to go 3-2 his opponent stole it and then won the next frame to knock out the Newbridge man.
Charlie played superb all week, He topped his group and he was very professional on and off the table and he should be very proud of himself here this week.
