Peter Gilchrist defeated Dave Causier by a single point to win the LiteTask WBL Billiards Open in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Sunday with seconds to go in the final. Peter played an in-off white to win by 436 – 435 points to deny Causier the title.
In an exciting semi-final with Phil Mumford Vs Dave Causier , Dave came to the table 116 points behind with 11 minutes to go. He knocked in a 149 unfinished! To qualify for the Final.
RIBSA President Eamon Kearns and RIBSA Chairman Jim Leacy were on hand to make the presentation to Peter following his dramatic victory.
The LiteTask European WBL Billiards open begins today in the Ivy Rooms and everyone is invited to watch the world’s best players in action.
