The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association have just announced details of the prize fund for this year’s Irish Senior Snooker Championship.
This year the guaranteed prize fund is €3, 500.00 and the beak down is the following:
The Champion – €1,000
Runner up – €500.00
Semi Finalists – €250.00each
Q- Finalists – €150 each
Last 16 – €100 each
Highest Break €100
How to Enter
The 2016 RIBSA Irish Senior Snooker Championship will be held on Saturday the 30th April and Sunday the 1st of May in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow.
You can now text your entry to 085 2428701. This is a text number only and you must include your name, club and event. You can also contact the host club direct on 059 91 37714.
The bottom half of the draw will be played on the Saturday and the top half of the draw will be played on the Sunday. Both days will be played down to the Q-finals to qualify 16 players.
The Championship will then be played down to find the New Champion from the 6th – 8th of May during Championships Finals Weekend in the Ivy Rooms SC.
Entry Fees
The cost of entry for Senior Tournaments will be €30.00 for 21 and over. Players under 21 on 31st December 2015 will be classed as Junior – Entry fee for juniors will be €15.
Entry for under 16’s will be free, (all players must be members of RIBSA to play in any tournament)
RIBSA registration fees are 21 and over – €15.00, 16-20 – €10.00 and Under 16 – €5.00
Closing Date
The closing date will be 2pm on Wednesday 27th of April. The draw will be available on the website www.ribsa.ie, as soon as possible.
Players must be properly dressed for all RIBSA competitions. The dress code is dark shoes, dark one coloured trousers (no jeans), one coloured shirt buttoned at the wrist and waistcoat. Waistcoats must be worn for all matches. National Waistcoats are not permissible.
