The 2016 RIBSA Under 12 National Snooker Championship sponsored by the www.147academy.com will be contested by Leone Crowley from Shooters SC, Ryan McGuirk from Navan, Oisin Bateman from the Kilkenny Shed and Noel Gleeson from the New Institute after all four played fantastic snooker to qualify for the Semi Finals on the 8th of May.
This event was held in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Saturday the 23rd of April and the amount of talent on show was incredible from players as young as 4years old.
Oife Gleeson aged 9 became the youngest ever lady to compete in a Irish National Championship while Adam Wynne aged 4 became the youngest ever boy to play in a RIBSA Irish National Championship so the future is looking good for Irish Snooker.
The semi finals and final will now be played during RIBSA Championships finals weekend in the Ivy Rooms on the 8th of May at 10am. The final will then be played at 2pm in the best of 5 frames.
The event was sponsored by PJ Nolan’s 147academy and there was free entry to all the players. PJ said he was delighted with the event and said that he was proud of all the players.
