Aaron Goldrick from Cavan won the second RIBSA U-16 Snooker Ranking event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Saturday the 5th of March. This was a very exciting event with Aaron winning 3 frames to 2 in a superb match against Fergal Quinn from Cookstown.
Aaron lost the opening two frames in the final but fought back to win the last three frames to win the title. Fergal should also be very proud of himself as he played great snooker today and he moves to No.1 on the U-16 rankings.
In the Semi Finals Fergal Quinn beat Mark Glesson 3-1 and Aaron Goldrick beat Ronan Whyte 3-1 in two great semi finals today. Aaron Goldrick also won the High Break prize with a 51 break.
Aaron now joins Ross Bulman to qualify for the 2016 Home International and Celtic Challenge Irish Team.
