11 Year old Sean Walsh from the Crucible in Cork wins the second u-14 ranking event of the season in superb style. He defeated Joe LaCombre in the final on a scoreline of 3 frames to nil and as a result qualifies to represent the Rep. of Ireland in the Celtic Challenge in June of this year. Well done Sean.
Notable early exits were no. 1 seed Aaron Hill from the crucible , Keith O’Reilly from Newbridge CYMS and Noel Gleeson from New Institute , Nenagh. Luke & Oisin Bateman from the Kilkenny Shed both performed admirably in reaching the semi-finals with 10 year old Oisin playing like player beyond his years.
Thanks to James Batenan for TD on the day and to Marion Leacy for the superb facilities in the Ivy Rooms. Results
