Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS and Josh Boileau have reached the European Semi Finals. Ross won his Q final in the European Under 18 here in Wroclaw Poland today. The Current Irish Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 National Champion played fantastic snooker to beat Ivan Kakovsky from Russia 4 frames to nil.
Ross had earlier in the day beaten Shea Moore from Northern Ireland 3 frames to 1 but Fergal Quinn lost to Ivan Kakovsky from Russia in the last 16 earlier to deny an all Irish Q-final.
Under 18 Semi Final
Ross Bulman will now play Tyler Rees from Wales in the Semi Final of Under 18 Championship at 10am local time Friday morning.
Under 21 Event
Josh Boileau and Charlie Sweeney were also both playing in the Under 21 event this morning. Josh beat Alexander Ursenbacher from Switzerland 4 frames to 3 in a thriller but Charlie lost to Yannick Tarillon from France 4 frames to 1.
Q-Final
Josh Boileau played Andres Petrov from Estonia in the Under 21 Championship tonight. Josh won the first three frames, back came Petrov to win the next two only to see the Newbridge CYMS man win the next two and qualify for the semi finals on Saturday morning against Joe O Connor (England)
National Coach PJ Nolan said he was delighted with the performance of Charlie and Fergal and they did amazing in their first International event and they should be very proud of themselves. Having two players in the Semi Final is incredible and Ross and Josh are very focused and will give it 100%.
