The last 64 and last 32 rounds of the 2016 EBSA European Under 18 Snooker Championships were played here in the Haston Hotel in Wroclaw Poland today. RIBSA started out the day with four players who had qualified after the group stages and by the end of the day we have two remaining with Ross Bulman and Fergal Quinn left in the event after Noel Landers and Darragh Cusack were knocked out.
Darragh Cusack played his best match of the tournament day but was beaten by Florian Nüßle from Austria 3 frames to 1. One frame was decided on the black and another was decided on a re-spot black.
Noel Landers also played a great match against Ales Herout from the Czech Republic but the Youghal man was beaten 3 frames to 2 in a very close match.
Ross Bulman was seeded into the last 32 after winning his group. He faced Lewis Tait from Scotland but the current Irish U-14, U-16 and U-18 champion won the match 3 frames to nil and he will play Shea Moore from Northern Ireland tomorrow morning.
Fergal Quinn had a great day which started off with a 3 nil victory over Iulian Boiko from Ukraine. Fergal then beat Jan Van Lierop from the Netherlands 3 frames to 1 to reach the last 16 where he will play Ivan Kakovsky from Russia tomorrow at 10am local time.
