On Day 7 of the 2015 IBSF World Amateur Snooker Championships here in Hurghada, Egypt Rodney Goggins from Wexford and Greg Casey from Cork stormed into the last 32 of the Men’s Championships with a stunning victories.
Rodney beat highly rated Adrian Ridley from Australia in a fantastic match 4 frames to 2 with a top break of 89 while Greg had too much power when he beat the No. 10 seed Tetsuya Kuwata from Japan 4 frames to 2.
Rodney now faces Lin Tang Ho from Hong Kong and Greg now faces Issara Kachaiwong from Thailand. Both matches are played at 1pm tomorrow (Thursday) local time in the best of 9 frames with the winner playing later in the last 16 at 7pm local time.
Masters
Tom O Driscoll played excellent snooker but was beaten by Johny Moermans from Belgium 4 frames to 3 in an exciting match. Alan Matic who is seeded No.12 will fly the flag now against Ian Sargeant from Wales at 10am in the last 32 with the winner playing at 4pm local time
