The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association will introduced a new format of promoting women in sport for the new season. All RIBSA Ladies tournaments will have free entry into all events.
RIBSA is the only official ladies snooker association in Ireland and the goal for the season is to promote and grow the game in Ireland. The players will still have to pay their RIBSA Membership as per player’s letter of €15.00 Adults, €10.00 Under 21, €5.00 Under 16.
The 2nd ranking events will be held on Sunday the 15th of November. Venue TBC All Tournaments to start at 12 noon – including promotion days. €2.00 per player per event will be paid for table fees to the host club.

New Format
RIBSA will introduce two events on the same day with a Intermediate level and a Senior level ranking tournament.
There will be Trophies for Intermediate Winner and Runner up in each event and a Shield for Intermediate No.1 at end of season.
The Senior events will be restricted to players who have made a 30 break in competition. There will be no trophies but they will have a Shield for Senior No.1 plus a Prize fund for top 3 on rankings at the end of season.
Rules
No foul & miss played in all Intermediate events – Normal rules apply for Senior Events
All events played in RIBSA Polo Shirt or Waistcoats – National Championships only Waistcoats
Depending on the numbers Knock Out Format and Round Robin Format will be used and this will be decided the TD on the day.
Coaching News
Our National Coach PJ Nolan will also be holding three promotion ladies events during the season to help the lady players improve their techniques and training structure.

3 Days – Ranking Competition – played with 2 Levels Senior & Intermediate events
1 Day – National 6 Red & U-21 Championship
1 Day – Intermediate Ladies Championship

Extra International News
Separate Days will be added for RIBSA Qualifying Tournaments to qualify the ladies for the Europeans Championships. Only the Winner & R-up of the Qualifier Qualifies for European Championship.
The World Championships or the Home Internationals – The National Senior Champion plus top lady from the senior ladies senior rankings will qualify for these events.
Training Camps with PJ Nolan will also be held for the players playing in EBSA / IBSF International events next season to help them prepare for the event.
