Our RIBSA National Snooker Coach PJ Nolan held his first of the two planned training camps to prepare our players for the 2015 IBSF World Snooker Championships on Tuesday the 6th of October in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
PJ put the players through their paces working on their techniques. They practiced key training routines to improve their Break Building Skills, Long Potting and Tactical game from 11am-4pm.
PJ also gave the players sports psychology audio to help with their mind fitness. Each player received a DVD of his action during the lesson to prepare for the Championship which will be held in Egypt from the 9th – 21st of November.
PJ said ” The star performer on the day was current Masters Champion Colm Gilcrest who played excellent snooker during the camp despite coming back from a shoulder injury which we hope will be resolved completely before Egypt.
The final training camp will be held with PJ on Sunday the 25th of October in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club from 11am-4pm and RIBSA hope the camps will motivate the players to play their best in Egypt.
RIBSA would like to thank the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club for hosting the camp and RIBSA would like to wish the players good luck in the World Championships.
