Josh Boileau from Sallins won the first RIBSA Under 21 Snooker Ranking event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Sunday the 4th of October. In the final he beat Aaron Tobin from Youghal CYMS 3 frames to 1 in an exciting final.
Stephen Bateman from the Kilkenny Shed and Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS were the beaten semi finalists on the day after Aaron beat Ross and Josh beat Stephen. The Tournament high break also went to Josh with a superb 128 break.
New Format for 2015/2016
This win for Josh Boileau means he receives a place at the European under 21 Championship in Poland in March 2016 and coaching from our National Coach at all the other ranking events. Two RIBSA ranking events will be held before December with each winner receiving a ticket to the European U-21 Championships. They will be joined by the highest ranked player on the U-21 rankings.
