Day two of the 2015 EBSA European Snooker Championship in Prague was another great day for the Irish players. Our two master players who had no match yesterday Tom O Driscoll and Alen Matic got things off to a great start in the morning session with two victories
The pride of the Deise had a top break of 65 in a 3 frames to nil victory over David Slehofr from the Czech Republic while Alen Matic won 3-0 against local player Krystof Micha.
Men Event
Brendan O Donoghue had another superb day when the Nenagh man knocked in the current high break in the Championship with a stunning 131 break in a 4 nil victory over Danijel Vranjes from Bosnia Herzegovina, Brendan also had breaks of 59 and 65.
Greg Casey was also in fine form when he recorded a 4 frames to nil victory over Matus Bucko from Slovakia with a top break of 60.
John O Sullivan was last player on today in the night session against Maris Volajs from Latvia. John won the opening frame but his opponent fought back to win the next four.
Ladies Event
Michelle French was involved in a long battle against Marija Milovanovic from Serbia. The Irishwomen never gave up and battled all the way winning the opening frame and third before the match went into a nervy decider but it was the Irish coming out the strongest to win the match 3 frames to 2.
Ronda Sheldreck and Keith Sheldreck had the day off today
