The second day of the planned two day RIBSA training camp with our National Coach was held today in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow for the players who will represent the Republic Of Ireland for the EBSA European Men’s, Masters and Ladies Snooker Championships which will be held in the Czech Republic.
Tom O Driscoll and John O Sullivan were put through their paces and PJ worked on their playing technique from 11am – 4pm. PJ gave the players training routines to prepare for the up coming Championship in Prague which will be held from the 2nd to the 13th of June.
Today the players were joined by leading Irish juniors Andrew Doherty and Corey Ramsbottom who were in the Ivy Rooms training for the National U-21 Championship which will be held on Saturday.
All the players trained on the Shender Match Tables and PJ also worked with them on the psychology of the game in order to play with more confidence. RIBSA organised this two day camp to help our players prepare for the Championship and each player received a DVD of his action during the lesson and sports psychology audio to help with their mind fitness.
RIBSA would like to thank the Ivy Rooms for hosting both training camp and all the players said they enjoyed the days training.
