The last 32 of the 2015 EBSA Under 21 Snooker Championships in Malta will feature two Irish players after Josh Boileau and Shane Bates both played outstanding snooker to win their matches this morning.
Josh Boileau beat Mikhail Terekhov from Russia 3 frames to nil which included a top break of 63. He will now face Rodion Judin from Latvia in a best of 7 frame match here tonight
Shane Bates played great to beat Niel Vincent from France 3 frames to nil and he will also play Vladu Mihai from Romania later tonight.
Aaron Moyles and Stephen Bateman unfortunately were beaten in the last 64 this morning as Aaron went down 2-3 to Tim De Ruyter from the Netherlands and Stephen was beaten by Jeff Jacobs from Belgium 0 -3 after his opponent had breaks of 38, 67 and 78
As National Coach I was very happy with all the players again but we are now fully focused on motivating both Shane and Josh. All the players would like to thank everyone in Ireland for all the messages of support they are getting since the event begun.
