The RIBSA players Josh Boileau, Aaron Moyles, Shane Bates, Stephen Bateman and Darragh Cusack were in action again on day two of the 2015 EBSA Under 21 Snooker Championships here in the Dolmen Hotel, St.Pauls Bay in Malta.
Josh Boileau from Newbridge CYMS had another two matches today and he maintained his winning start with two three nil wins over Wesley Pelgrims from Belgium and Olli-Pekka Virho from Finland. Josh played his best snooker so far in the event during the win over Finland.
Aaron Moyles from Ballina SC suffered his second defeat when he lost to Spasian Spasov from Bulgaria 3 frames to 1. The match was a close affair but his Bulgarian opponent won the tight frames.
Stephen Bateman from the Kilkenny Shed SC played on the live tv table against local player Chris Peplow but his maltase opponent played good to win 3-0 on the day.
Darragh Cusack from Dublin lost his third match in a row when he lost to one of the favourites for the title Jordan Winbourne from England 3 frames to one. Darragh played good tactical frames but he is losing close frames.
Shane Bates from the 147 Club in Wexford made it two wins from his three matches in beating Florian Nüßle from Austria 3 frames to 2, coming from 1-2 down to win.
Overall the day was another good day as the standard is so high with all the countries this year. As National Coach I am so proud again of all the players and they are all focused on day 3 which strats at 11am Irish time.
