Star matches of the second was John Sutton against Michael Judge and it was the Dubliner who won 3 frames to 1 with the top break of 108 which stands as the current high break of the tournament.
The battle of the young guns saw Josh Boileau up against David Cassidy and it was Josh who won the great battle 3 frames to 1. Philip Browne also beat Stephen Bateman 3 frames to 2 in another good match.
Other results saw Benny O Brien beat Ivor Fitzpatrick 3 frames to 2 and Greg Casey beat Adam Nolan 3 frames to 2.
