Corey Ramsbottom today won the first RIBSA U14 ranking event of the season at CrossGuns in Dublin. In a high quality final between the number one and number three seeds it was Corey who prevailed 3-2 and took the honours while Ross Bulman along with his runners up trophy also won the high break prize with a 47 break in the fourth frame of the final.
Some great snooker was produced throughout the day and once again exemplary sportsmanship was displayed by every competitor. There is no doubt that the standard of U14 snooker is increasing and the future bodes very well for Irish snooker.
I would like to thank all the players their families and friends who travelled to CrossGuns today and also a big thank you to referee Shane Mason who officiated throughout the day.
The next U14 Ranking Event will be held December 28th in Newbridge CYMS.
