The Irish Under 16 Team lost their first match tonight when they lost 3 frames to 9 to England in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds at the 2014 Home Internationals tonight.
Charlie Sweeney lost 1-2, Fergal Quinn lost 1-2 despite a superb 64 break, Jason O Hagan lost 0-3 and Darragh Cusack lost 1-2
As National Coach I was happy with the players overall performance. We lost a few close frames but we will come back stronger tomorrow in our last match against Wales @11.30pm to try and finish in second place in the event.
