Mark Tuite from Ireland won the 2014 European Masters Title 6 frames to 5 in the European Masters Snooker Championships Final here in Bulgaria this morning against Alain Vandersteen from Belgium in the Best of 11 frame final.
The opening frame went to the Belgium and he looked like going 2 up until the Irishman made a great clearance to steal it to level at 1-1. Alain then went 2-1 up only to see Mark come back strong to level again at 2-2. After the Interval in frame 5 Alain got in first with an early 32 break but missed to let in Tuite who made a great 53 break, The Belgium needed a snooker with the pink and black on the table and got it to steal the frame and go 3-2 up.
Frame 6 Alain made a superb 99 break to go 4-2 up and took control of the match. Frame 7 & 8 Tuite won to level the match at 4-4. The Irishman then went 5-4 up only to see his opponent play a great frame to level again. Into the decider with the winner been crowned Champion, Tuite got in early and had a 30+ point lead but Alain kept fighting until Mark won it on the colours to become the 2014 European Masters Singles Champion.
