Mark Tuite played the Semi Finals of the Masters European Snooker Championships here in Bulgaria toady against the defending Champion and ex pro Darren Morgan from Wales.
The Irishman has played his best ever snooker this week in the knock out rounds and he really was up for the battle today. Morgan won the first but Tuite came straight back with a beautiful 98 Clearance to level the match at 1-1.
Mark then produced a great tactical frame to go 2-1 up. Morgan came back to level the match at 2-2 at the interval. Morgan won the fifth frame to lead 3-2. Back came Tuite to win the next to level again at 3-3. The next two frames Mark Tuite played the best two winning clearances to win any match I have seen in a long time to put him into the European Master Final where he will face Alain Vandersteen from Belgium at 8am Irish time.
As National Coach I am so pleased for Mark as he has played so good this week. Mark has worked so hard on his game to improve each area and in Bulagaria tomorrow he will have a chance to be crowned 2014 European Masters Champion.
Come on Mark!!!!
