Day 5 of the 2014 World Under 21 Snooker Championships in Al Fujairah – UAE saw all five RIBSA players qualify for the knock stages with one more session of group matches to be played tomorrow. RIBSA players David Cassidy, Daniel O Regan, Stephen Bateman, Josh Boileau and Daniel Dempsey have played great and already have their place in the knock out stages with good performances today.
Daniel O Regan is having a superb event and he had his third win in a row in beating Sascha Breuer from Germany 4-3. Daniel will to go into tomorrow’s match against Zhao Xintong from China looking for number 1 in the group.
Josh Boileau will play his final group match against Louis Chand from New Zealand in the morning.
Daniel Dempsey was beaten by Asutosh Padhy from India 4 frames to 3 but he has already qualified with good win earlier in the event while David Cassidy beat Karam Namek from Canada 4 frames to nil to qualify with a top break of 65 and the Cork man always plays great in the knock out stages of all these International events
Stephen Bateman beat Waleed Almouakh from Syria in a match he had to win and the young Killkenny school boy won 4-2
