On Tuesday the 6th of May RIBSA held the first day of a two day Snooker Training Camp to prepare our players for the 2014 IBSF World Under 21 Championship and for the EBSA Snooker Championships with our National Coach PJ Nolan.
Today the Under 21 players Josh Boileau, Daniel Dempsey and Stephen Bateman attend training in the Ivy Rooms in Carlow. PJ put the players through their paces to prepare for the World U-21 Championships which is being held from the 10th to the 18th of May in UAE.
The EBSA Snooker Championship will be held in Bulgaria from the 1st – 11th June. The players were videoed today and received DVD’s of their game to study at home as PJ feels this is crucial in developing players to improve their game.
EBSA Senior Players : John Sutton, Jason Devaney and Rodney Goggins
EBSA Masters Players : Tom Gleeson, Mark Tuite,Tom O Driscoll and Alen Matic
IBSF Under 21 Players : Josh Boileau, Daniel Dempsey, Daniel O Regan, David Cassidy and Stephen Bateman
The players trained on the Shender Match Tables from 11am – 4pm and PJ used his various academy training programs to improve the players cue ball control, long potting and match play. PJ also worked on the psychology of the game and each player received a sports psychology booklet and audio to help with their mind fitness.
Another Camp will be held on the 7th of May in the Ivy Rooms and RIBSA would like to thank the players for attending the camp and they wish them good luck in the Championships.

The cost of holding a RIBSA session is €20.00 per hour coaching time plus €20.00 per hour travel time from Carlow plus tolls and parking.
If you would like to travel to the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow you can avail of a 2hr session for €55.00 which includes Lights, DVD of the lesson and Technique profile.
