Josh Boileau will play in the European Under 21 Snooker Championship final here in Bucharest, Romania tomorrow morning after a stunning display in the Q-Final and Semi Final with victories over Lukas Kleckers from Germany and Ashley Carty from England.
In the Q Final this morning Josh played Lukas Kleckers from Germany and played fantastic snooker in a 5 frames to 2 win with a string of breaks including a 91 and 75.
Josh then faced the 2013 EBSA U-21 Runner Up Ashley Carty from England in the Semi Finals. Josh went 4 frames up before his opponent fought back to trail 4-2. Josh made a great 49 break to get in front in frame seven to seal the famous win for the Irish man and send all the Irish supporters into rapturous applause.
Josh becomes only the third ever Irish man to reach a European Junior Final and he is fully focused on playing his best tomorrow to lift the title and win his qualification for the Main Tour next season.
As National Coach I am so proud of Josh as he has been fantastic here this week. Josh has dedicated his life for a number of years to this sport and tomorrow will see him play in front of TV cameras live on Romanian TV for this prestigious European Under 21 Title.
I wish Josh good luck in the morning and he will be flying the flag high and giving it 100%. Thanks to everyone for their messages of support from back home for Josh and keep it coming tomorrow.
Finally I want to say a big Well Done to David Cassidy who reached the semi final
