This week our RIBSA National Snooker Coach PJ Nolan travelled to County Kerry to hold a Snooker Coaching Cue Zone in the Q Club in Killarney. Players aged from as young as 8 years old attended and there was a great atmosphere within the club during the Cue Zone which contains snooker and pool tables for their players to practice on.
Connie O Sullivan owner of the Q Club is focused on building up a team of juniors to build on the club’s success of reaching this year’s Munster Club Championship Final. Current National Masters Champion Mark Tuite was in attendance in preparing for the next RIBSA Master Ranking event along with the European Team Championships in Romania in a few weeks.
PJ worked on the players Stance, Bridge, Address Position, Line Of Aim, Grip and developing a smooth delivery in their Cue Actions. They also practiced some of PJ’s key practice routines to improve their Cue Ball Control.
Each player received a DVD of the lesson to study at home and a training book to practice. The Club has confirmed another Cue Zone will be held in May and PJ said he really enjoyed the day and is looking forward to coming back to monitor the players improvements.
