Jim Leacy said he was delighted to endorse Rigour as a recommend IBSF training program that is used by the Chinese Snooker Association in producing so many top players over recent years.
Mr. Lui also met up with Irish and European head Coach PJ Nolan who is one of the leading World Snooker Coaches during this weekend RIBSA Under 14 and Under 16 cue school ranking events. He said he was very impressed with the facilities in the Ivy Rooms and the amount of talented young Irish players like 8 year old Sean Walsh from the Crucible, 11 year old Ross Bulman from Youghal and 15 year old Darragh Cusack from Dublin.
The Chinese Association have designed fantastic software called Rigour which helps players perfecting certain shots with the use of technology similar to hawk eye that is used at all the TV tournaments in replacing balls for foul and miss situations.
With the use of cameras linked to computer over the table it allows the coaches to set up the same shot or drills for students to master. PJ was in Beijing earlier in the year and one of the first foreign coaches to use the Rigour program.
