Republic of Ireland Are Impressive on Day One of the International Challenge Cup
Play got underway in the 2013 International Challenge Cup at 2pm this afternoon in the East Cork town of Youghal.
The Republic of Ireland took to the tables against France, with local man Brendan Cooney, Corks Greg Casey, Wexfords Rodney Goggins and Dublins Stephenn Merrigan all in action and play continued through the evening on a roll on roll off system and play continues throughout tomorrow with a 9am start until the closing session at 8pm.
There were some standout performances from the Irish team as Aaron Tobin who knocked in a three frames to nil win and a 131 clearance on the way.
Michael Judge and Rodney Goggins are undefeated and Robert Murphy is in sparkling form going into day two.
