Irishman Brendan O Donoghue put on a stunning display of match snooker in the first round of the World Games in Cali in Columbia today but he Nenagh player lost 3 frames to 2 to top professional player Joe Perry from England.
Brendan started of winning the first two frames 71-31, and 60-11 but Perry won the third 45-66 and the fourth 12-65 to put the match into the final frame shootout. The final frame was very tight but it was the Englishman who won it 46-60.
Brendan must of had all of Ireland cheering him on via Facebook as Jim Leacy President of the IBSF and Chairman of RIBSA was keeping everyone updated minute by minute on the RIBSA facebook page with Peter O Brien.
Everyone within RIBSA and Irish Snooker would like to congratulate Brendan on a fantastic performance and he did Ireland proud.
