The final of the Irish Intermediate Snooker Championship was held during the Championship weekend in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on the 26th of May between Mark Walsh from the New Institute Club in Nenagh and Benny O’Brien From Kilkenny. In the Final the Killkenny man over powered the Tipperary man 5 frames to nil to win his first Irish title
In the Semi Final Benny overcame Philip Murphy from Roadstone 3 frames to 2 and Mark got the better of Martin Thorpe from St Conleths CYMS Newbridge 3 frames to 1.
Martin had the highest break in the championship with a superb with a110 break.
