Congratulations to Irishman David Morris on qualifying for the Main Tour when he came through the event 3 of the QSchool in Sheffield today with a final match victory 4-1 over Gareth Green from England.
Morris was one of the form players in all three qualifying events but he lost in event 2 in the final match against Ross Muir but it made him more determined in event 3 where he showed his skill and experience to finally get his pro ticket again.
Earlier in the event in round 4 Davy beat Anthony Parsons 4-2. In round 3 Davy beat Alex Taubman 4-0 and Dylan Craig 4-2 in round 2 after getting a bye in round 1.
Earlier Josh Boileua was beaten in round 3 by Ashley Carty but he showed fantastic form in the three events to show everyone he will be back stronger and better in 2014 QSchool. Ireland’s other players Dessie Sheehan and Kevin O Leary did not reach the final rounds in the events.
A big well done from everyone involved in The Republic Of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association to Davy on his fantastic performance and as the National coach I hope he inspires more players to train hard and follow in Davy’s footsteps on to the main tour.
