Martin Thorpe from St Conleths CYMS Newbridge Is Currently 1-1 with Mark Walsh from The new Institute Club in Nenagh in their semi-final at Celbridge Snooker Club. In the first frame Martin had a super 110 break, but Mark showed his fighting qualities by taking a close 2nd. This one could go all the way.
In the other half of the draw Benny O’Brien from Kilkenny in his usual Speedy fashion raced into the semi- final for the loss of only 1 frame. He awaits the winner of no.1 seed Daniel Dempsey (Newbridge CYMS) and Philip Murphy (Roadstone) who are locked at 2 – 2. Both finalists will contest the final in the Ivy Rooms in carlow on Sat. 25th and Sun26th May. Final report will Follow.
