The second event of the U-16 School School series was played yesterday 23rd March in the Ivy Rooms. A great display of snooker was on show from all these young players, who had started out early in the morning to battle the cruel weather conditions. Well done to all who travelled from the four corners of the country. Adam Fitzgerald from Youghal excelled throughout the day with 3-0 wins over James Hurley, Keane McCarthy, and Kilkenny’s Stephen Bateman. Shane Bates from Wexford was Adam opponent, which went to a black ball game in the final frame. The next outing for the Under-16’s is the National Championships in Douglas, Cork on 7th April. Good luck to all!
