The second Under 21 Cue School event of the season was held in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow today with all the players trying to qualify for the European Under 21’s in March. Ryan Cronin and Josh Boileau will contest the final of this event at the next ranking event on the 9th of March due to bad weather after semi final wins over Andy McCloskey and David Cassidy.
Today was the final qualifying event as the qualifiers will be announced on Sunday. It was Ryan Cronin, Daniel O Regan, Josh Boileau and David Cassidy playing great snooker to win their group and seeded straight through to the Q-Finals.
There was a number of high breaks on the day but top break went to Josh Boileau making a superb 101 break in his Q-Final against Andy McCloskey he also made 56, 57. Other breaks were David Cassidy 73. Ryan Cronin 64, 58. Daniel O Regan 58,51, 46, Jason Devaney 58, 44. Daniel Dempsey 54 and Andrew Doherty 40.
