Frank Sarsfield wins the 4th Master’s Event played in Carlow to-day Sunday 16th December. Frank beat Mark Tuite 3-1 in the final making it his second win of the season and goes into the new year top of the ranking with 460 points, Mark coming a close second on 43opts.
On the way to the final Frank beat Johnn Connolly 3-2 and George O’Hara also 3-2. Inform Shane Gorman, couldn’t stop the St. John’s man giving Frank the final place. Mark Tuite beat Alan Cusack 3-0 in the first round, then Tom Gleeson 3-2 and Nigel Power 3-2 before falling prey to Frank’s 3-1 victory. Tom Gleeson had the highest break with 80.
