This week 16 year Shahar Davidovitch from Israel travelled to Carlow for a week long training camp in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club with our National Coach PJ Nolan. Shahar was impressed with my the Ivy Rooms as a great training academy and with the quality of coaching he received during the camp.
Despite only playing snooker for 12 months Shahar has showed a lot of talent and he wanted to come to Ireland to improve his potting and cue ball control during the camp. PJ was very impressed with his commitment and said he trained very hard every day. PJ said he fine tuned his playing technique and each session he got stronger and stronger with the quality of breaks and clearances he made.
Shahar is the second Israeli junior to seek coaching from PJ who is a official World Snooker Coach after Shachar Ruberg joined his academy four years ago.Snooker in Israel is on the rise after the Israel National Team in reaching the final of the 2012 European Team Championship losing to England on a final frame black ball.
Shahar now returns to Israel with a specific academy training program to help improve his overall game and he will email PJ throughout the season so he can monitor his progress and PJ said it was a pleasure training Shahar and he wished him good luck this upcoming season.
